Avia-pro news site reported on April 14 that the Ukrainian Navy applied a new tactic in its attempt to land on Russian lines in the left bank of the Dnieper River in Kherson.
This tactic caused Russian defense forces to mistakenly believe that the Ukrainian army was conducting a river crossing to attack the line at Kherson.
According to a Russian soldier nicknamed `Chernomor`, when detecting enemy landing boats, `Russian defense forces often organize coordinated fire attacks to neutralize the target`.
`After opening fire on our ships containing dummies, the enemy will discover the location of the firepower and respond,` Chernomor said.
Recently, the Ukrainian Navy has continuously organized attacks against the Russian defense line in the left bank of the Dnieper River.
`The underwater hiding of enemy warships is impossible. They are regularly detected and responded to with light fire or artillery if necessary. Usually, Ukrainian river-crossing vehicles are sunk in the water.`
To add strength to the attack forces, last week, the Ukrainian Navy received the Galaxy Trident T8 amphibious and light patrol boat produced by the country’s Brig Motors company.
With a 400 horsepower engine and a length of 8 meters, this speedboat can transport 12 paratroopers at a speed of 44 knots (about 81km/h).
Previously, at the end of February, a Gyurza-M class armored gunboat was also tested by the Ukrainian Navy.

According to Defense Express, the gunboat named `Bucha` will become the flagship of the river fleet of the Ukrainian Navy.
The Gyurza-M class gunboat of Project 58155 is a relatively modern small patrol ship of the Ukrainian Navy.
