(Dan Tri) – Most Chinese car models introduced in Vietnam in the near future will be high-undercarriage vehicles, using hybrid or pure electric engines.
After not very successful `tests` in the West, Chinese car manufacturers are turning to Southeast Asia.
Similar to Thailand, Vietnam is also considered a potential `land` for these car manufacturers, although a large number of users still question the quality and after-sales policies of cars.

In the coming time, many Chinese car models will be introduced to Vietnamese customers, `comparing` with Japanese and Korean products in many segments.
Haval Jolion
A representative of Haval Vietnam confirmed that the company will introduce Haval Jolion this April.
Haval is a sub-brand under Truong Thanh Auto Group – GWM (Great Wall Motor) (Photo: Motortrivia).
In terms of size, Haval Jolion will be in the B+ urban SUV segment, where Toyota Corolla Cross and Mazda CX-30 are present.
With a starting price of under 700 million VND, Haval Jolion can even compete with products in the B-sized urban SUV segment. This is a `hot` segment, with a lot of competition with consumer car models.

Both versions of Haval Jolion use a hybrid powertrain including a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, combined with an electric motor, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
This can be considered Jolion’s strong point when opening for sale in Vietnam because in the B-SUV segment, the Toyota Yaris Cross is the only product with a hybrid variant, but is listed at 765 million VND.
GWM Tank 300
After Jolion, GWM Tank 300 will be the next product introduced by Haval Vietnam.
Experts predict that it is likely that GWM Tank 300 will be imported in complete units from Thailand similar to Haval Jolion (Photo: GWM).
However, Tank 300 promises to attract a lot of attention from Vietnamese users when officially launched, especially customers who love cross-country and adventure style.
The dimensions of the Tank 300 are equal to C-class SUVs with length, width and height of 4,760mm, 1,930mm and 1,903mm;
In Thailand, the Tank 300 only uses a hybrid powertrain, including a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine producing 240 horsepower and 380Nm, combined with an electric motor with 104 horsepower and 268Nm.

BYD
According to some news, BYD will open its first dealership in Hanoi in May, but this has not been confirmed by the company.
Experts predict that the first products that may be introduced will be BYD Atto 3 and Seal, both of which are best-selling electric vehicles in Thailand.

BYD Atto 3 will likely be the company’s main product in our country because it is suitable for the trend of high chassis cars.
In Thailand, BYD Atto 3 has 2 versions with selling prices of 1,099 million baht and 1,199 million baht respectively, equivalent to 742 million VND and 810 million VND (Photo: Top Gear).
Wuling Bingo and Baojun Yep
After Wuling Mini EV, TMT Motors will introduce two new models: Wuling Bingo and Baojun Yep.
Among them, Baojun Yep attracts a lot of interest from Vietnamese customers when it is in the same category as VinFast VF 3, the `made in Vietnam` minicar model that is about to be launched.

Wuling Bingo is considered the `elder` of Mini EV with a length, width and height of 3,950mm, 1,708mm and 1,580mm respectively, on par with class A gasoline models such as Hyundai Grand i10 or Kia Morning.
In China, the most advanced variant of Bingo is equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 37.9kWh, traveling up to 410km after a full charge.

The selling price of Wuling Bingo and Baojun Yep will hardly be as cheap as Mini EV.
MG7
After the upgrade of MG HS, MG7 is expected by Vietnamese customers to launch this year after `missing the appointment` at the end of last year.

This model attracts the attention of Vietnamese users thanks to its sporty, coupe-like design.
The first is a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive system.
The second is a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine with parameters of 254 horsepower and 405Nm.
