Defense analyst Mikhail Popov releases an overview of Russia’s offensive campaign in Avdiivka.
At the beginning of April, Moscow forces began military operations in the Ocheretine direction, but not directly, but by redirecting the enemy to the opposite left flank.
Having cut off Umanskoye and the settlement center from Netailovo, on April 10, Russian units began fighting to settle Semenovka and, without losing the initiative, on April 15 they reached the area.
Once again, without giving Ukraine an opportunity to mobilize reserve forces, by mid-April, Russian units entered Pervomaiskoe and began to clean up.
On April 23, Moscow soldiers entered Ocheretine, and clearing it began by launching two simultaneous attacks on Keramik and Novokalinovo.
On April 26, Russian assault groups entered Novobakhmutovka and Solovyevo, encircling the enemy defense zone in Berdychi from the north.
On April 27, a strong offensive began to fight from Semenovka to the north and from Novobakhmutovka to the south.
In the entire history of this Avdiivka offensive campaign, it was possible that Russian commanders very well transformed the experience gained during the mission into the art of combat.
