(Dan Tri) – A user shared the experience of buying a Mazda CX-5 in the context of reduced market consumption, car manufacturers and dealers continuously applying large discount programs.

Despite promotional programs worth hundreds of millions of dong, the consumption of the automobile market still shows no signs of improvement.

Besides, the selling price of many car models continuously `hit the bottom` also making many users not dare to spend money, worried about not getting the best price.

Mr. Bao (27 years old) in Hanoi is one of them.

`Because of my family’s needs, I want to buy a car. With my financial situation not being abundant, I tried my best to buy the CX-5 in installments. Therefore, I also look forward to discount programs.

`In March, I decided to buy a car, contacted the dealer to ask for the 2.0 Premium version of the CX-5, and was told the price of the VIN 2023 car was reduced by 100 million VND compared to the listed price, from 919 million to 819 million VND.

At that time, I saw information about reducing registration fees for assembled cars, so I didn’t rush to buy it.

In April, the sales consultant from that dealer contacted me, urging me to close early to enjoy the discount, because that price policy was from the factory so I didn’t know when it would end.

The consultant said that you can sign a reservation contract, the price on paper is 819 million VND and wait until the registration fee is reduced before registering the car to enjoy the incentives.

`In May, when I saw the press reporting on the new upgraded version of the CX-5, I started to get suspicious. Just like that, in June, the company reduced the price of the version I wanted to buy by another 30 million VND to 799 million VND.

I asked the sales consultant again and was told that the price on the car booking contract would be applied, not the new price. The showroom could only support transferring the deposit to another car model, for example CX-8,

For me, 30 million VND is not a small amount of money, it also saves on beach fees in Hanoi.

Situations similar to Mr. Bao’s story above are not rare.

For example, Hyundai Santa Fe, since February, dealers have continuously offered to sell cars produced in 2022 (VIN 2022) with discounts of up to 100 million VND.

At its peak in early June, the price of VIN 2022 Premium Oil was reduced by up to 220 million VND.

With a reduction of 300 million VND, the actual selling price of Hyundai Santa Fe Premium Oil VIN 2022 is only 1,075 billion VND, equal to a C-size car model (Photo: Nguyen Khanh).

Similarly, the old Mercedes-Benz GLC (code X253) received 100% registration fee from the manufacturer, equivalent to a reduction of about 200 million VND, after the new version was introduced in early May.

At that time, there was a showroom in Hanoi with a discount of up to 400 million VND for the GLC 300 4Matic version.

Mercedes-Benz GLC is also assembled domestically.
