Losing attraction in 2023, Corolla Cross in Vietnam may be about to release a new version?

(Dan Tri) – Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 will be launched in Thailand in early February, promising to return to Vietnam soon to increase competitiveness with rivals.

Some sales consultants shared that the Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 will be brought to Vietnam in the second quarter.

There are two reasons given by experts to reinforce the above statement.

Second, Corolla Cross is one of Toyota’s key products in our country but is losing in the sales race with its competitors.

However, by 2023, the consumption of this model will decrease by 51%, selling a total of 10,485 units.

Belonging to the B+ urban SUV segment, the Japanese automaker aims to compete with Toyota Corolla Cross with products in the C-SUV segment such as Mazda CX-5 or Hyundai Tucson.

In early July 2023, the CX-5 reduced its price by 90 million VND after a mid-life upgrade.

After CX-5, Hyundai Tucson was adjusted by TC Motor to reduce by up to 191 million VND in early October 2023, creating more pressure for Corolla Cross.

Racing C-SUV models decrease in price at the end of 2023, forcing the Toyota Corolla Cross to retreat to the `playground` of B-class and B+ SUV models.

Prominent among them is the Hyundai Creta.

By the end of 2023, Hyundai Creta sold a total of 10,719 vehicles, surpassing Corolla Cross to take the number 1 position in the urban SUV segment.

Returning to the 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross, some new equipment mentioned by international media includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.5-inch raised central screen, and an electric handbrake.

The car’s amenities are upgraded with an electric open/close panoramic sunroof, 9 JBL speakers, wireless phone charger, air conditioning with additional air filtration feature, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connection switched to wireless.

These equipment are expected to remain the same on the Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 when brought to Vietnam.
