(Dan Tri) – Goalkeeper Andre Onana is one of two Man Utd rookies in the group of 5 summer transfer contracts with the worst performances in the Premier League this season.

The Premier League went through 8 rounds before taking a break to make way for the October FIFA Days schedule. The tournament officially returned on October 21 and Dailymail (UK) newspaper named 5 summer transfer contracts.

1. Goalkeeper Andre Onana (Man Utd)

Man Utd bought Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana from Inter Milan for a fee of £47 million after the `Red Devils` let goalkeeper David de Gea leave Old Trafford on a free transfer.

Coach Erik Ten Hag has high hopes for Onana’s ability to play the ball well with his feet because the two have been together for a long time and understand each other very well since they were teachers and students at Ajax Amsterdam Club.

However, Onana disappointed when he continuously made mistakes in the matches against Galatasaray and Brentford, and even almost received a red card in the match against Wolves if the referee had handled it better.

2. Midfielder Mason Mount (Man Utd)

Man Utd spent £60 million to recruit Mason Mount from Chelsea last summer with the expectation of enhancing ball control in midfield as well as the ability to support attacks.

But injury forced Mason Mount to miss 5 matches and when he returned to the squad, the English midfielder’s contributions were insignificant.

3. Striker Moises Caicedo (Chelsea)

With the £115 million price tag that Chelsea had to spend to get Moises Caicedo’s signature last summer, the Ecuadorian midfielder’s performance was considered a disaster.

Caicedo’s most disappointing match was Chelsea’s 1-3 loss to West Ham.

However, instead of having a goal for Chelsea, striker Caicedo caused a penalty in the 90+5 minute and caused the home team to lose 1-3 in the end.

4. Striker Kai Havertz (Arsenal):

Kai Havertz is a rather surprising signing for Arsenal this summer.

After the first 9 matches failed, Kai Havertz scored his first goal in Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over Bournemouth.

The German striker more or less proved his value with an assist for the only goal that helped Arsenal defeat Man City in round 8 of the Premier League.

5. Striker Nicolas Johnson (Chelsea)

The Senegal international has experienced very impressive pre-season friendly matches and regularly plays under coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Although he plays very aggressively, Johnson’s conversion rate of opportunities into goals is extremely poor.
